My friend, Athena, was supposed to watch ‘Chicago The Musical’ yesterday. Since I have watched it on Tuesday, She asked me not to reveal anything about the musical until she has watched it. Now, I even wondered if she has watched the musical at all, if she decided to drive into the city yesterday.
I was shocked to read in the newspapers, internet news and blogs about the massive sea of people in the ‘Yellow Jam’ in the Kuala Lumpur. There was a massice traffic jam all over the city. All roads in the city were literally closed. I don’t really know how many people were there rallying Kuala Lumpur.
The rally was organized by BERSIH, a loose coalition of about 60 NGO’s and political parties, to pass a memorandum to the King to seek help to reform the electoral process.
Anyway, did Athena make it to ‘Chicago The Musical’ or was she caught in the rally? Let’s see if we can spot her in Al-Jazeera program in Youtube.

so…what’s wrong with the elections in Malaysia that people feel the need to rally?
