Nokia recalls BL-5C batteries

My mobile phone, Nokia N70, is among those models listed which are supposedly to have the faulty battery. According to Nokia, a particular batch of BL-5C type batteries is prone to overheating when the phone was being recharged. There were many instances of overheating reported worldwide and I am not surprised at all. I do notice that my phone is hot whenever I recharge it.

Nokia BL-5CSo, now I know the real reasons behind it. I confirmed this by checking it in Nokia’s website which provided instructions to check for batteries from this faulty batch. Nokia is really good at customer service. They are going to courier the new battery to their customers free of charge. They really have their customers in their heart.
