Commercial vehicles are very dangerous on the roads. I am sure most of you have had many unpleasant experiences dealing with these vehicles. The drivers sped along the highway dangerously without taking the consideration of the safety of other road users. No matter if it’s a truck driver or a bus driver; they will zigzag their way through the traffic just to reach their end destination as fast as possible.

The drivers for commercial vehicles are paid by the number of trips the make. This is really a wrong way to compensation commercial vehicle drivers. They are motivated to make as many trip as possible to make the money. To make as many trips, you need to driver faster and this will endanger the lives of the drivers and other road users. Sometimes, these drivers are sleepy due to lack of rest. All these are causing unnecessary accidents on the road. Many lives are taken away unnecessary.

Any attempt to break the speed limit will show up on the report. This detail record can be used to measure drivers’ productivity and compare against drivers timecard to ensure there is no over claim. This report can also be used to track any possible unauthorized used of vehicles after office hours.

Besides tracking the activity and performance of drivers, GPS Insight can provide a live snapshot of the fleet movement. Fleet managers can easily find out where their vehicles are by looking into the screen. GPS Insight does provide various reports to help optimize vehicle utilization like engine performance report, fuel consumption report, vehicle stop report, fleet location report and engine maintenance report. GPS Insight has a sophisticated engine monitoring system which can notify the fleet manager by email whenever the vehicle reports a diagnostic trouble code.
