“Today is the resignation day” declared my boss. Not really a big deal since I already knew that one of my colleagues was going to resign and another colleague was going to loose two of his managers. Staff who are required to give one-month notice will typically resign from 1 Dec onwards for them to be entitled for their contractual performance bonus.
What we did not expect was there were more resignations that we expected. A few other colleagues from other departments resigned as well.
So, I learned a new management phrase today - “Today is the resignation day”. In case you want to know, my notice period is three months :(

wow, more resignations than expected… does this mean this company is not so good to work for, or other places offer more $$$ or opportunity?
I guess it’s a general trend for people to move after bonus. This trend is visible even in hiring. It’s difficult to hire people during year-end. Everyone is waiting for their bonus.

so are you going to resign & take that offer in England?
Unfortunately it’s not my resignation. So, I won’t be going to England. But, I hope to do so one day :)
