Be patient. Don’t buy that new gadget today. Wait a month or two and the price will certainly go down.
This statement is so true. There is no reason to chase technology and buy the latest gadget unless we desperately need them. I do not buy the latest model as it’s very expensive. Recently, I bought my Nokia N70 mobile phone which was at least 9 months old in the market. This model is cheaper by at least 30% compared to the latest model.
It’s important to understand the cycle of product release. Each product has its own cycle. Example, time your purchase of computer to coincide with the new release of new chips by Intel and AMD. Once the new chips are released, the price for older model will drop. Buy a refrigerator during the winter season will give you a very good discount.
Waiting for the new model to be released will guarantee lower price for current model. This is true for all gadgets like phones, PDAs and computers. This applies to car as well.
Timing a purchase to coincide with manufacturers offer for discounts, clearance sales and off-season discounts will take out a lot of stress in searching and negotiating for good price.
Now, I must find the right time to purchase a new car. Any tips from anyone?
