John Lennon - Twenty seven years ago….

December 8th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Twenty seven years ago, my favorite Beatle band member, John Lennon, was gunned down by Mark David Chapman when he was entering his New York luxury apartment, The Dakota. He died in St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center. John Lennon died twenty seven years ago but his songs live on forever.

John Lennon (8-10-1940 - 8-12-1980)

Imagine

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one…

it so happens that beatles was and is still my favourite band of all times. I have been trying to collect black records of the beatles since 7 years ago. songs of those days have meanings compared to the garbage that we hear today. mind you I am not so old but have a heart for the olden days.
