What’s an ideal job for me?

September 4th, 2007 · 8 Comments

I always wonder what an ideal job should be for me. I have a technical job that has brought me to a few countries in the world. I have been to some cities so many times that I know the place like a local. Yet, I still wonder if the job is the right one.

My friends tell me that my job is great. Yet, I feel there is not enough fun to make it an ideal job. I am responsible to carry out projects repeatedly. Just doing things that I was trained to do. It is always doing the technical stuff. So, I am still wondering if what I am doing is an ideal job.

Recently, I read in Marzie’s blog about her Mr B’s assignment in Los Angeles. B traveled to Los Angeles on office assignment. Not just the city but he got to see what made Los Angeles and Hollywood comes alive. He was there to cover High School Musical 2 premiere party. B met and interviewed the casts of HSM2 and took pictures with them. These people are the heart and soul of Hollywood that made Hollywood what it is today. A real cool job :). Will B want to swap job with me?

I also found an interesting similarity between Marzie and me. We both complained for not being able to tag along with our spouse. My Ms B went to San Francisco in July and all I got after the trip was an Alcatraz and a Pebble Beach t-shirts. Marzie, guys don’t get perfumes!

Ha ha ha! Just a tee shirt huh? Well u know what they say, it’s the thought that counts LOL!

What a wonderful post! I had fun reading it. Oh, your job can’t be too bad seeing that it gets you out of the country every once in a while! We’re jsut never happy with our jobs I guess, unless you’re doing what you truly love!

I will let B read this article, bet it’ll make him smile! Thanks for the link love! Have a great night! :)

Les, at least u get to go to some interesting places, unlike the rest of us who are chained to our desks, locked in on the funny farm or get sent to crappy places like Nottingham (gun crime capital of UK), Chesterfield (containing site with biggest environmental liability in the UK) or Stoke on Trent (UK’s capital of burnt out stolen cars)
    :(

Marzie: Actually it’s two t-shirts :) Has B visited me?

PP: Hopping from coutries to countries can be tiring and worst, if you have kids back home. Murphy’s law will always strike when you are not around.

    Athena: Agree, agree, agree :)
